Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris clashed in their first presidential debate today. Both candidates arrived with well-prepared agendas, but Bitcoin aficionados were unhappy that neither discussed cryptocurrency reforms. The discussion centred on climate change, abortion rights, international conflicts, and economic reforms.
Harris reiterated her plans for
addressing the country’s concerns and presenting herself as a middle-class advocate. Meanwhile, Trump ignored her assertions, presenting counterarguments that lacked force. The conversation did not include cryptocurrency or Bitcoin.
This follows Trump’s previous visit at the Bitcoin Nashville conference, where he made several bold promises, including the dismissal of SEC Chairman Gary Gensler. Cryptocurrency, once regarded as a transitory fad or the money of choice for shady figures, is now firmly established in the mainstream.
Trump stated that he wants the United States to be the “crypto capital of the planet” and the Bitcoin “superpower of the world.” His campaign has adopted bitcoin and now accepts Bitcoin.
Donations and the recent availability of digital NFT trading cards.
Bitcoin’s price has yet to react to this heated argument, as it is now trading over the critical $57k mark.
Here Is What Trump Said at the Bitcoin Conference:
“We will have restrictions, but from now on, the rules will be developed by individuals who love your sector rather than detest it. Trump vowed, “I will appoint an SEC chair who will build the future, not block it.”
Taking a shot at Harris and Joe Biden, he continued, “If they win this election, all of you will be gone. They will be violent. They will be merciless. They will perform things that you would not believe.”
