Binance is back online in India after paying a ₹18.82 crore fine.

Binance’s website URL is now accessible in India. On January 12, 2024, the government of India blacklisted the URLs of nine offshore cryptocurrency exchanges, including Binance, OKX, and Kucoin. The finance ministry issued a show cause notice to these sites in December 2023 for failing to comply with India’s anti-money laundering regulations. Kucoin was the first offshore cryptocurrency exchange to register with the FIU, and after paying a 34.5 lakh fee, its URL was unblocked in March.

Binance applied for FIU registration in April.

Even though the Binance URL is now available, the app has yet to emerge on the Play Store or App Store. The official Binance social media and blog have yet to post an update or notification, although the website is still accessible. This could indicate that the Binance URL has been unblocked completely.
